The S&B 45-gallon replacement fuel tank increases the fuel capacity of 2019–2026 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 144" and 170" wheelbase vans from the factory 24 gallons to approximately 45 gallons. Designed as a plug-and-play replacement, the tank installs in the OEM location using the factory sending unit and an additional rear strap, without extending farther toward the driver side. Its increased capacity is ideal for long-distance travel, vanlife, and overland builds where extended range is a priority.

FITMENT & IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Does not fit: 144" dually vans or 170" crew vans with one row of seats.
• Clearance Requirement: Plumbing or components must not be within 24" of the rear of the OEM tank or 19" of the rear cross-member.
• Storyteller XO: Fits 2024–2025 models if seat-brace recall 25V-070 has been performed; also fits 2026+ models and unaffected vans.
• Fuel Gauge: Accurate operation requires the J51 fuel gauge option. Vans without J51 require TI1349-00 or TI1527-00; TI1527-00 is recommended for its Miles-to-Empty recalibration.
• Auxiliary Fuel Tap: On the S&B tank, the auxiliary tap may stop drawing fuel at approximately 1/3–1/2 tank, compared with approximately 1/4 tank on the OEM tank.
• Alternative 40-gallon tanks: S&B 10-1032 (2023+) and 10-1027 (2019–2022) are available for applications that cannot accommodate the 45-gallon tank.
