Technical SpecificationS User manual
The Victron Energy smallBMS NG is an all-in-one battery management system designed specifically for Victron Lithium NG batteries. It monitors battery status and helps protect the system by controlling charging and load-disconnect signals, while providing an early warning of low battery voltage. Built-in Bluetooth enables wireless monitoring, configuration, and firmware updates through the VictronConnect app.
FEATURES
Lithium NG protection: Monitors and protects compatible Victron Lithium NG battery systems.
Integrated Bluetooth: View battery state of charge, temperature, warnings, and alarms through VictronConnect.
Load disconnect output: Controls compatible devices with remote on/off functionality to help prevent excessive battery discharge.
Charge disconnect output: Signals compatible chargers to stop charging when required.
Low-voltage pre-alarm: Activates a visual or audible warning before load disconnection due to low cell voltage.
Remote on/off control: Enables external control of the BMS outputs.
Flexible system configuration: Supports compatible 12V, 24V, and 48V battery banks.

IMPORTANT – COMPATIBILITY
Designed exclusively for Victron Lithium NG batteries; it is not compatible with the older Lithium Battery Smart series. The smallBMS NG does not have a VE.Bus interface and is not suitable for managing VE.Bus MultiPlus or Quattro inverter/chargers. Compatible external devices and correct wiring are required for the charge- and load-disconnect functions.
