User manual

The Victron Energy GX Tank 140 connects up to four tank-level sensors to a compatible Victron GX monitoring device, such as the Cerbo GX. Monitor fuel, fresh water, wastewater, and other compatible tank levels locally or remotely through the VRM Portal.

FEATURES
  • 4-channel monitoring: Connect up to four tank-level sensors.

  • Sensor compatibility: Supports 4–20 mA current sensors and 0–10 V voltage sensors, including a combination of both.

  • USB connection: Connects to and receives power from the GX device through USB.

  • Simplified wiring: Two channels provide an integrated 24 V sensor supply; the other two require an external supply.

  • Adjustable readings: Configure input limits and averaging from 1 to 60 seconds to help stabilize readings.

  • Fault detection: Triggers an alarm when sensor readings fall outside the accepted range.

  • Remote monitoring: View tank levels through the GX system and VRM Portal; compatible marine systems can transmit data over NMEA 2000.

SPECIFICATIONS
  • Number of channels: 4

  • Input types: 4–20 mA or 0–10 V

  • Connection: USB

  • USB cable length: 1.5 m (4.9 ft), permanently attached

  • Compatibility: Victron GX monitoring devices

  • Included: GX Tank 140 module, USB cable, one 2-way terminal block, and four 3-way terminal blocks

IMPORTANT: Tank-level sensors are not included. Use only compatible 4–20 mA or 0–10 V sensors within the unit’s permitted input range. Other sensor types or excessive input voltage may damage the device.
