Victron Energy BatteryProtect 12/24V-220A
Victron Energy BatteryProtect – 12/24V, 220A
Protect Your Battery, Extend Its Life
The Victron BatteryProtect 12/24V – 220A is designed to disconnect your battery from non-essential loads before it becomes dangerously discharged—preserving battery health and preventing system failure. It also ensures there's enough power left to start your engine or power critical equipment.
Key Features:
-
12/24V Auto-Ranging
Automatically detects system voltage (12V or 24V) for easy installation. -
High Current Capacity – 220A
Ideal for larger systems requiring high-current load protection. -
Protects Against Deep Discharge & Overvoltage
Automatically disconnects loads if voltage drops too low or exceeds 16V/32V to protect sensitive electronics. -
Programmable Disconnect & Reconnect Thresholds
Customize voltage settings easily using the integrated 7-segment display. -
Delayed Disconnect/Reconnect Logic
Load disconnect is delayed by 90 seconds after a low-voltage condition. Reconnect occurs 30 seconds after voltage returns to normal, avoiding unnecessary power cuts. -
Delayed Alarm Output
Sends a signal (max 50mA) to trigger buzzers, LEDs, or relays if low voltage persists for 12 seconds—ignition-safe design ensures it won’t trigger during engine starts. -
MOSFET-Based, Ignition-Proof Switching
No mechanical relays—ensures silent operation and eliminates sparks. -
Ultra Low Power Consumption
Especially useful in Li-ion battery systems to prevent unnecessary drain during standby.
Li-Ion Battery Support:
-
Dedicated Li-ion Mode
Integrates seamlessly with Victron’s VE.Bus BMS for advanced LiFePO4 battery protection. -
Can Function as a Charge Interrupter
Allows use between a charger and a lithium battery to stop charging at unsafe voltage levels.
Important Note:
The BatteryProtect is uni-directional—designed for current to flow from the Battery terminal to the Load terminal only. For use with a charger, connect the charger to the Battery terminal (not the Load side).
Safeguard your battery investment and automate power control with the Victron BatteryProtect 220A—a must-have for any 12V or 24V electrical system.
