Sprayed Cork Insulation Coating – Van Application Guide

A natural spray-applied insulation coating designed for van conversions, providing thermal comfort, sound reduction, and condensation control. It is especially suited for metal van shells and irregular interior surfaces thanks to its spray-based application method.

This system forms a continuous insulation layer that helps reduce thermal bridging, vibration noise, and moisture buildup, improving overall living comfort inside camper vans.

How to Use (Application Process)

To begin, all existing interior linings and old neoprene adhesives must be completely removed to ensure a clean and properly prepared surface. Once stripped, all windows, edges, and sensitive areas should be carefully masked using protective tape to prevent overspray.

The product must then be mixed with water in a 1:1 ratio, stirring thoroughly until a smooth and uniform paste is achieved. This consistency is important to ensure proper adhesion and even application.

Application is carried out in multiple layers. A first bonding coat is applied to create adhesion, followed by a second filling layer to build thickness. After an initial drying period of approximately 12 hours, additional coats may be applied depending on the desired insulation level and project requirements.

Once fully cured, the surface can optionally be refined using 240-grit sandpaper to achieve a smoother finish.
