NW Conversions 16 Gallon Transit Undercarriage Water Tank

Introduction

The 16-gallon undercarriage water tank is designed to fit Ford Transit vans (2007–present), providing fresh or grey water storage beneath the vehicle. Ideal for compact van conversions, this tank maximizes space under the slider door or alongside the fuel tank while keeping water weight low for better stability.

Features

  • Undercarriage Placement: Fits under the passenger side slider door or driver side next to the fuel tank; compatible with Transit Trail models with factory running boards.

  • Flexible Water Storage: Suitable for fresh or grey water systems.

  • Multiple Plumbing Ports:

    • Two 1.5” NPT ports and two ½” NPT ports on the rear-facing end

    • One 1.5” NPT top port for gravity fill, vent, or sensor

  • Non-Pressurized: Requires venting; not suitable for pressurized systems.

  • Durable & Safe: Made from BPA-free, food-grade polyethylene.

  • Certified & Reliable: IAPMO TS-4 certified and built in the USA.

Optional Notes

  • Includes three stainless steel laser-cut mounting straps, hardware, and 3/8” rivnuts.

  • Installation requires drilling three 17/32” holes near the pinch weld, enlarging two hexagonal frame holes, and using one factory bolt for exhaust hanger location (rivnut tool required, not included).

  • Ideal for DIY van builders, professional upfitters, or RV conversions needing undercarriage water storage without sacrificing interior space.
