Victron Energy MultiPlus-II – Multifunctional Inverter/Charger with ESS Functionality

The Victron MultiPlus-II combines the capabilities of the MultiPlus inverter/charger and the MultiGrid, with additional features for Energy Storage System (ESS) integration. It provides advanced power management for off-grid, grid-connected, and hybrid energy systems.

Key Features & Benefits:

  • PowerControl & PowerAssist:

    • Prevents generator or grid overload by optimizing battery charging.

    • Compensates for limited grid, shore, or generator capacity during peak demand, then recharges the battery when load decreases.

    • External current sensor option extends PowerControl and PowerAssist up to 100 A.

  • Dual AC Outputs:

    • Main Output: No-break functionality ensures uninterrupted power during grid failures (<20 ms transfer).

    • Second Output: Active only when AC input is present, ideal for non-critical loads like water heaters.

  • Solar & Alternative Energy Integration:

    • Compatible with solar charge controllers, grid-tie inverters, and other renewable energy systems.

    • AC power remains available during grid failure, supporting off-grid operation.

  • Parallel, Split-Phase & Three-Phase Operation:

    • Up to 6 MultiPlus-II units can be paralleled for higher power output (e.g., six 48/3000/35 units deliver 15 kW / 18 kVA and 210 A charging).

    • Two units can provide 240 V split-phase output.

    • Three units can be configured for three-phase output; multiple sets can be parallel-connected per phase.

  • On-Site & Remote Configuration:

    • Configure and monitor via VEConfigure software (requires MK3-USB interface).

    • Multiple control and monitoring options: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, laptop/computer, Bluetooth (with VE.Bus Smart dongle), Battery Monitor, Digital Multi Control Panel.

    • Remote access and data storage available via VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
