How to use our Rear Door Prop for Transit, Sprinter and Promaster vans.
Rear Door Van Security Prop – DIYvan
Improve ventilation while maintaining added peace of mind with the DIYvan Rear Door Security Prop. Designed to hold your rear doors partially open while remaining latched, this accessory helps create airflow inside the van without fully exposing the interior.
Perfect for camping, resting, or spending time inside your vehicle, this compact solution installs onto the existing rear door latch system and adds convenience without permanent modifications. As an added bonus, it also functions as a built-in bottle opener.
How It Works (Installation & Use)
The security prop installs directly onto the existing rear door latch and is designed to hold the rear doors slightly open while keeping the locking mechanism engaged. This allows fresh air to circulate through the vehicle while reducing the need to leave doors fully open.
Once installed, simply engage the prop into the latch position to create controlled ventilation. To preserve proper operation and avoid damage, the rear door should always be closed gently while using or removing the accessory.
For safe use, this accessory should only be used while the vehicle engine is turned off to avoid the possibility of exhaust gases entering the cabin.
