Smart Load Disconnect for Battery Protection

Prevent deep battery discharge and safeguard critical system power with the Victron Energy BatteryProtect 48V-100A. This advanced device automatically disconnects non-essential loads before your battery is excessively depleted or before voltage drops below engine cranking levels—protecting battery life and system integrity.

• Automatic Load Disconnection
  Disconnects loads before battery voltage becomes critically low or when starting power must be preserved.
• Uni-Directional Current Flow
  Designed for current flow from Battery → Load only. Cannot manage bidirectional flow—use case must be load OR charger, not both.
• 48V System Support
  Ideal for 48V systems; also available in other voltage variants.
• Programmable Voltage Thresholds
  Easy voltage set-up via seven-segment display. Select from multiple engage/disengage presets for tailored protection.
• Li-ion Battery Mode
  Includes dedicated setting for VE.Bus BMS control with lithium batteries. Can also serve as a charge interrupter for LiFePO₄ systems.
• Ultra-Low Standby Power Draw
  Critical for lithium batteries post low-voltage shutdown—ensures minimal current consumption during standby.
• Overvoltage Protection
  Automatically disconnects the load if system voltage exceeds safe thresholds (e.g., >32V), protecting sensitive devices.
• Ignition-Proof MOSFET Design
  Spark-free switching ensures safe use around volatile systems or environments.
• Alarm Output with Delay
  Sends warning signal (max 50 mA open collector) if voltage drops below threshold for more than 12 seconds—avoiding false alarms from short dips during engine cranking.
• Delayed Disconnect/Reconnect Logic
  • Disconnect delay: 90 seconds post alarm
  • Reconnect delay: 30 seconds after voltage recovery
    Prevents unnecessary power cycling during temporary voltage changes.
