The Transit Rear Door Tire Carrier makes it easy to access and store your spare tire, and it fits any size tire that fits on your Transit. Carrying your spare tire on the rear door also makes more space underfloor for your gray water, freshwater, or auxiliary fuel tank.
Our spare tire carrier is made with sturdy aluminum tubing that keeps it lightweight and stainless steel structural brackets to ensure long-lasting durability. We include an optional adjustable lock rod that serves as a wheel rest.
Installing the Transit Tire Carrier can be done at home with basic hand tools and a drill and only requires a single drill point on each side of the door. After years of R&D, we’ve found that drilling is required if you want a sturdy and reliable rear door tire carrier without any compromises or unappealing design features. This third mounting point utilizes our dual-shock silicone damper - a first in the adventure van industry - designed for ultimate protection that holds up to repeated use and absorbs the impact in both directions.
